funky-furnitureAutentico chalk paint techniques

In this series of fun and informative workshops you will learn and develop new ideas and skills. Using a variety of effects and techniques, discover how to recycle and transform that “tatty looking” item of furniture in the charity shop that would be perfect if only… or perhaps that old and tired looking piece of furniture currently taking up space in your garage or spare room, into a funky, vibrant and individual piece. This is a fun, hands on experience so be prepared to get your hands dirty.

A brief health and safety induction will precede each workshop. Basic protective equipment i.e. eye protection, dust mask, gloves etc. will be provided. However, it should be noted that due to the processes involved suitable clothing should be worn.

Courses run from 10.00am to 4.00pm with lunch and refreshments provided as part of the day.

The art of recycling

“One mans rubbish is another mans treasure,” or so they say. in this series of workshops discover the personal satisfaction of transforming and revitalising discarded or surplus items into useful, individual, interesting and quirky pieces of art and craft unique to you, that will add a personal touch to your home, or make a perfect gift that says you really care.

These are fun hands on workshops using materials as diverse as: timber offcuts, old pallets, driftwood, roofing slates, the list is endless. So reserve your place in this popular class and be amazed at what you can do with things you would probably put on the tip.

card-makingCard making: Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6.30pm-9.00pm

Using the most up to date mixed media products available to the modern craft market combined with the more traditional card making materials, learn new methods and techniques which will enable to you to create your own personalised cards for all occasions. With classes to suit all tastes and levels of competency, we will show you how to quickly obtain the best results creating funky, quirky and fun effects or if you prefer the more traditional finish to your cards. Whatever your requirements are, we will guide you through this fun process providing expert and friendly advice along the way.

Full classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.30pm to 9.00pm. We also offer basic card making tuition at our Wednesday craft club.

Saturday morning kids craft club: 10:00 – 12:30

Craftique offer an exciting and colourful program of mixed media crafts for children from the age of 5 upwards.  Be amazed at what your child will produce during this popular class as they explore their creativity and enjoy some of the most up to date producst on the market.

This popular class is for a maximum of 10 children, booking is advisable to avoid disappoitment.

Be amazed at the wide spectrum of funky, vibrant and fun techniques you will quickly develop as we teach you the skills to build, page by page, your own personalised journal using our extensive range of innovative and current mixed media products from some of the most up to date available in today’s crafting world. For example: dies, distress inks, spray inks and stamps from some of the most respected suppliers such: as dylusions, stampotique, spellbinders and indigoblu to name but a few, you will create a unique and totally personalised work of art; a piece of work to be proud of.

Using a combination of mixed media and your own precious keepsakes, learn the latest techniques in how to create your own special memory canvas.

Upon completion of this special workshop you will leave with your own personalised 12 inch x 12 inch canvas ready to hang on your wall, as well as the new found skills and confidence to make many more.

Course details: 10.00 am to 4.00 pm – £60.00 inclusive of basic materials, lunch and refreshments. Remember to bring along your own keepsakes such as photographs postcards and other personal embellishments.

We are pleased to introduce a range of quilting classes and workshops for beginners and the more seasoned quilter.
At the beginners workshop you will learn how to use a basic cutting template as well as stitching and machine techniques. Our in-house quilting expert will guide you step by step as you work towards completing an exciting and rewarding project.   On completion of the beginners class you will have the option of joining the regular Queative quilting group to continue with your new found skill and realise your quilting potential.
